Dawn and Jeremy Peterson acquired a true diamond in the rough when they bought this Portland bungalow, which they affectionately called "Grandma's House". The housing market collapse put an end to their plans to flip the house for a profit. Instead, the Petersons took the time to perform a well thought-out remodel that was respectful to the original design of the house. After spending months stripping pink paint off the original fir woodwork, remodeling the kitchen, and adding a dormer that is harmonious to the design of the house, they have brought new life to this fantastic little bungalow.
Kitchen
Believe it or not, this luxurious bungalow kitchen used to be "Grandma's Kitchen" complete with asbestos tile flooring, bright yellow cabinets, and turquoise painted walls and woodwork. The Peterson's have brought the bungalow back to life with an all new kitchen design meant to complement the original architecture.

Main Bath
This bungalow bathroom may look fantastic, but it took a total bathroom remodel to get it to this point. The homeowners swapped yellow paneling for subway tiles and faux-stone tiles for traditional hex tiles. A fiberglass bathtub was replaced by a new corner shower, and a new toilet and pedestal sink round out the nicely remodeled bathroom, bringing it back to its former glory.
